Jacksonville dentist accused of negligence

ABC News reported on September 23rd that a dentist in Jacksonville, Florida is being accused of harming several of his patients, who were all young children.

Over 100 families have alleged that Doctor Howard Schneider caused harm to his patients by conducting unnecessary dental procedures, including many tooth extractions, to max out families’ Medicaid benefits. After viewing a video of a child screaming in pain while being treated by Dr. Shneider, one attorney decided to represent all of the families. Schneider entered a not guilty plea after authorities apprehended him last year due to suspicion of defrauding Medicaid.
