According to Boynton Beach police, the multi-vehicle accident happened on Woolbright Road and SW 18th Street. The Lincoln driver was pronounced dead at the scene and both passengers in the car were transported to Delray Beach Medical Center with critical injuries.

The driver of the Chevy was taken to Bethesda Hospital for treatment of her injuries, said police. Eastbound Woolbright Road is completely shut down until further notice.

The speed limit in that stretch of Woolbright is 40 miles per hour. But with the amount of damage to both vehicles, it is possible one or both drivers were going too fast. “I think there are a lot of careless drivers and people drive very, very fast,” said a resident who lives nearby.

“It’s very bad. People drive the way they want to drive and it happens,” said another resident who lives nearby. He stood on the sidewalk and watched as police investigated.

Police say it’s too early to say if speed or alcohol were a factor in the deadly crash.

Accident attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded to this unfortunate crash. “This is a serious accident involving multiple vehicles, which ultimately, resulted in injuries. We wish the victims a speedy recovery and hope the investigators can quickly determine what caused the accident.
