1 killed, 1 injured in early morning crash on I-95 SB

MIAMI, FL – According to CBS Miami, one person was killed and another person was injured in a crash that took place on I-95 SB in Miami early Friday morning.

Authorities say the accident took place shortly before 4:00 a.m. near Ives Dairy Road when two people, one man and one woman, in a black Alfa Romeo sedan drove off the interstate and crashed into a traffic control box.

Both the male driver and female passenger in the vehicle sustained serious injuries in the accident and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The female passenger was pronounced dead shortly after getting to the hospital. The male driver remains in critical condition.

An investigation is currently ongoing. We will update this post as further information is released.
