1 killed in crash on Palmetto Expwy SB in Miami

MIAMI, FL – According to Miami Herald, one person was killed in a crash that took place on Palmetto Expressway SB in Miami on Thursday morning.

Authorities say the accident took place around 5:00 a.m. near the exit for Southwest 24th Street / Coral Way when a driver of a Honda SUV crashed into a concrete divider on the vehicle’s driver’s side before veering across the highway and crashing into another concrete wall on the right side. A driver of a Volkswagen sedan slowed down as he approached the crash, but was then struck by a driver in a GMC SUV.

The driver of the GMC was killed in the impact, while the driver of the Honda and the driver of the Vokswagen were both injured and transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
