19-Year-Old Dorothy Nicholas And One Other Critically Injured In Car Crash
The Florida Highway Patrol and the Palm Beach Sheriff Office said, two people were left critical, including a 19-year-old girl, in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 98.
The crash was reported at U.S Highway 98 northwest of Interstate 95.
A 63-year-old man of Okeechobee was driving a 2007 Toyota Rav 4 westbound on U.S. Highway 98 northwest of Interstate 95.
A second vehicle, driven by Dorothy Nicholas, 19, of Palm Beach Gardens, was driving a 2012 Ford Fusion eastbound on U.S. Highway 98.
Florida Highway Patrol officials said, Stripling crossed over into the eastbound lane, crashing into the left side of Carter’s Fusion.
The 63-year-old driver’s Rav 4 rotated counterclockwise and came to a final rest in the east and westbound lanes facing southeast.
The Fusion was sent off the southern shoulder of the road, overturned and landed on its roof.
The 63-year-old Toyota driver was critically injured at the scene. Dorothy was taken to Delray Medical Center with severe injuries. The cause of the crash still remains under investigation.
The Palm Beach Sheriff Office and the Florida Highway Patrol are urging anyone with relevant information to contact the Palm Beach Police Department as soon as possible.
