2 dead, 10 hospitalized following boat crash near Key Biscayne

KEY BISCAYNE, FL – Two people were killed and another ten were hospitalized as a result of a boat collision near Key Biscayne late Friday night, according to CBS 17 News.

The incident happened about a mile west of Key Biscayne at around 10:30 p.m., when two boats collided.

Two bodies were recovered by authorities and were pronounced dead.

At least two people sustained critical injuries out of the ten victims who were sent to area hospitals.

The cause of the collision was not immediately available. The incident remains under investigation by multiple agencies, including the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
