2 dead after hit-and-run driver strikes 6 children in Broward Co.

BROWARD COUNTY, FL – A hit-and-run driver struck six children, killing two of them, in Broward County on Monday afternoon, according to the Miami Herald. 

The incident occurred in front of the Wilton Manors apartment building when a county bus stopped to let out passengers. Police say grey Nissan driving behind the bus at a high speed veered onto the sidewalk and struck a group of six children.

Two of the children were pronounced dead at the scene and the four others were taken to a nearby hospital.

Police are currently searching for the driver, who fled the scene.
