20-Year-Old Man From Riviera Beach Injured After Two-Vehicle Accident

A man has been airlifted to the Wellington Medical Center in a critical condition after he was struck by two cars in Delray Beach. The 20-year-old was left with life-threatening injuries.


A spokeswoman from the Florida Highway Patrol said, the man had head and arm injuries as well as a punctured lung. He was initially taken to Boynton Beach Hospital in serious condition.

The Florida Highway Patrol said, the Forensic Crash Unit was helping Delray Beach police, but the circumstances were not suspicious. No charges have been filed against the driver of either vehicle.

Florida Highway Patrol said, preliminary investigations revealed the drivers of the vehicles were not at fault and that neither drugs nor alcohol is suspected to be a cause of the car crash.

Police have spoken to the two drivers of the vehicles and passengers, he said. The two vehicles involved in the incident have been impounded.

The Forensic Crash Unit was still investigating the accident. Anyone with relevant information concerning the crash can contact Crime Stoppers anonymously.
