33-Year-Old Man Apprehended For Causing Crash That Killed Three And Injured Three
An Assistant Attorney stood before a Judge in Boynton Beach and said the man accused of killing three people in a high-speed car crash could face the maximum sentence of more than 100 years in prison if convicted. Recently, he was in court to offer a plea deal of 13 years.
The 33-year-old and his attorney counteroffered a 7-year sentence. When that was turned down, the 33-year old man told the judge he’d rather go to trial.
The 33-year-old is charged with vehicular manslaughter, reckless driving causing serious bodily injury and driving without a license. He was involved in a car crash that killed Frank Vince, 27, Raymond Clinton, 31, and Bernard Jones 43 in Greenacres. The three men, all lived in suburban West Palm Beach and worked for a transportation company. The men’s families sat silently in the front row of the courtroom listening to the hearing.
The 33-year-old had sped through a stop sign near the intersection of Second Street and Swain Boulevard in his silver Porsche without his headlights on, according to Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office investigators.
Video from surveillance cameras captured the luxury vehicle violently crashing into a Honda CRV, throwing at least two people from that vehicle. Besides the three men who died, three other people in the CRV were severely injured, according to authorities.
Deputies said, that before the crash they attempted to pull the 33-year-old over because he was speeding and driving without his headlights on near 10th Avenue North, not far from the crash scene.
Accident attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded to this unfortunate crash. “This is a serious accident resulting in fatalities.
