51-Year-Old Ricardo Valentine Killed In Crash

A 51-year-old Boynton Beach man, whose Hummer H3 rear-ended a Palm Tran bus, has died, city police said.

Ricardo Valentine died soon after he was taken to Delray Medical Center in critical condition, police officials said.

The southbound Palm Tran bus was stopped in the 2400 block of North Federal Highway, between Northeast Spanish River Boulevard and Northeast 20th Street.

The southbound bus was dropping passengers off at a regular stop when Valentine’s vehicle approached from behind, failed to stop in time and crashed into it, police officials said.

The Palm Tran driver, a 64-year-old man of West Palm Beach, and eight passengers on the bus sustained minor injuries. An update on their conditions was not available, although city police said none of their injuries were believed to be life-threatening.

The post made it clear that the Florida Highway Patrol and other police officials believe that either alcohol or drugs has a major role to play in the crash.

Anyone who has information regarding the crash is asked to contact the traffic homicide investigator.

Accident attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded to this unfortunate crash. “This is a serious accident resulting in a fatality.
