70-Year-Old Diana Bain Killed In a Multi-Vehicle Wreck In Belle Glade

One person is dead and three others seriously injured following a four-car wreck in Belle Glade, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said.

Diana Bain, 70, died from her injuries. She was a passenger in a full-size van involved in the wreck, the sheriff’s office said.

A 2009 Acura TSX turned left onto South Main Street from Southeast Avenue G in front of a 2011 Ford F-150, the sheriff’s office said.

The vehicles collided, sending the truck and its 17-year-old driver over a concrete median and into the northbound lanes of traffic on Main Street.

A 2008 Lexus immediately hit the truck, pushing it into the path of a 2015 Ford E-350, a full-size van driven by a 32-year old. The van hit the driver’s side of the truck.

Novembre, 52, of Belle Glade, and Vanfossen were seriously injured in the wreck. Both were wearing seat belts, records show. Novembre’s passenger, Bain of Pahokee who died in the crash, was not.

The Acura driver, Valeria Cater, 45 of Belle Glade, was not injured in the wreck, the sheriff’s office said. She was wearing a seat belt.

The Lexus driver, a 57-year old, of Belle Glade, sustained minor injuries in the wreck.

Bain, Vanfossen and Velasco were taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center, where Bain later died. It is unclear whether Novembre was taken to a hospital.

No one has been arrested in the wreck, the sheriff’s office said.
