90-Year-Old Motorcyclist Injured In Head-On Collision In Palm Beach
A 90-year-old motorcyclist was critically injured after a head-on collision with a car near N. Australian Avenue and Palm Beach Lakes Blvd., Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash happened on Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard near Lake Mangonia. A 90-year-old motorcyclist collided head-on with a car, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said. Investigators say a southbound car, driven by a 52 year-old-man of Boynton, turned east in front of the motorcycle causing both vehicles to collide head-on.
The sheriff’s office described the man’s injuries as serious, but said he is expected to survive.
The car driver was not injured in the collision and has been issued a citation for making a dangerous left hand turn, the sheriff’s office said. The crash investigation closed N. Australian Avenue and Palm Beach Lakes Blvd.
Police are still investigating the crash.
