Two teenagers were killed while another one suffered injuries in a recent car accident in Miramar, an article from CBS Miami reported on July 27.
Couple Jonah Mosaphir and Gabrielle Camps, both 19, were helping their friend, Giovanni Martinez, push his broken-down car on an unlit area of Pembroke Road early Monday morning. While the three were pushing the distressed vehicle along with the help of another two people, they were struck by an SUV operated by 23-year-old Asia Valentine. The couple died in the collision while Martinez suffered injuries.
According to the article, Valentine claimed that she failed to notice the distressed vehicle on the dark road and did not see any tail lights. However, the survivors of the crash claim that the car’s tail lights were on at the time of the crash. The conflicting accounts may be due to the area where the teens were pushing the car.
Authorities are still investigating the accident and no charges have been filed for the incident.
