A 27-year-old man died early Wednesday after a motorcycle crash north of the old Roosevelt Bridge, according to a statement from the Stuart Police Department.
The bridge tender called police at 2:01 a.m. to report a crash happened just north of the bridge, police Sgt. Brian Bossio said.
Sadly, when the police arrived at the scene they saw that Kyle Williams, who lived in Jensen Beach and was the driver of the motorcycle was dead.
“It appears that speed was a factor,” police Sergeant Bossio commented.
Sergeant Bossio said Williams had been traveling north on a Kawasaki motorcycle before he left the road and crashed.
The Stuart police had to shut down the road in both directions while the accident was being investigated and the scene was being cleared. At this time it is unknown what actually caused the crash. The public is urged to contact the Stuart Police Department if you saw the motorcycle crash or if you have any information about the accident.
This was the second motorcycle crash that resulted in a death today in South Florida. The other one happened in Boca Raton.
Attorney Jason Weisser of Shuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded to this unfortunate accident on the Florida Turnpike: “This is a tragic accident that resulted in a death to the man driving the motorcycle. Please be careful whenever you are driving a motorcycle, car, SUV or truck. If you have been injured in an accident, call my office for a free consultation to find out what are your rights”.
