Motorcycle Crash On Interstate 75 Shuts Down One Lane And Brings Traffic To A Stand Still

A motorcycle accident on I-75 is causing major slow downs in western Broward County.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of the accident on the northbound lanes of I-75, north of the Florida Turnpike.

Authorities shut down all lanes of I-75 while paramedics airlifted the adult victim to an area hospital and the scene was cleared.

Officials have not specified whether or not other vehicles were involved in the motorcycle accident. At this time reports are that the driver of the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet at the time of crash.

As now just the right lane of the northbound lanes of Interstate 75 is closed but traffic is still backed up for over 4 miles.

Traffic Center News will update this report as new information is available.

Attorney Jason Weisser of Shuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded to this unfortunate accident on the Florida Turnpike:   “This is a tragic accident that resulted in a death to the man driving the motorcycle without a helmet.  Please be careful whenever you are driving a motorcycle, car, SUV or truck.  If you have been injured in an accident, call my office for a free consultation to find out what are your rights”.
