Pedestrian Unresponsive After Being Struck By Car In Boynton Beach
A woman is brain-dead and on life support at Delray Medical Center after she was struck by a vehicle in Indian Spring Country Club in Boynton Beach.
The crash took place on El Clair Ranch Road, north of Green Golf Lane.
A 2013 Nissan traveling northbound struck the woman while she was by the roadside. The Nissan driver remained at the scene and called 911.
First emergency responders arrived at the site of the crash soon after the accident happened and the victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries for treatment. However, the victim was confirmed brain-dead on arrival to the hospital following the fierce crash. She has been placed on life support.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office needs the public’s help in identifying the woman. She is described as being between 40 and 60 years old with brown hair and brown eyes. She is around 5 feet 3 inches and 145 pounds and was wearing a baseball cap, gray sweat pants, a black T-shirt with a colorful design by Christian Audigier, a red Fila sweater, a tan jacket and bright pink Nike sneakers, according to PBSO.
The woman does not appear homeless, according to PBSO. The woman has at least one denture plate and was wearing two rings.
Investigators were unable to locate any missing person at the time of the crash that fits the woman’s description.
