Two Injured In West Palm Beach Crash on Belvedere and Skees Roads

Two people were seriously injured after a two-vehicle crash in suburban West Palm Beach.

The crash occurred near Belvedere and Skees Roads, west of Florida’s Turnpike.

According to a crash report, a Chevrolet driver was driving west on Belvedere and a Honda SUV was driving south on Skees Road moments prior to the crash.

The Chevrolet driver drove through a red light, crossing in front of the Honda SUV.  This happened as he attempted to turn onto Belvedere Road, the report said.  The Chevrolet struck the driver’s side of the Honda SUV leading to a crash, according to investigators.

The Chevrolet driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the wreck, but the man driving the Honda SUV was not, according to the report. Neither alcohol nor drugs appear to have been a factor in the wreck, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office reports.

The 77-year-old Chevrolet driver of Royal Palm Beach sustained critical injuries in the crash, the sheriff’s office said. The second driver, identified as Tim Steinecker, 49, of suburban West Palm Beach sustained serious injuries in the crash.

First emergency responders arrived at the site of the crash soon after the accident happened. The victims were driven to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach with critical injuries.

West Palm Beach attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded to this unfortunate accident:   “This is a tragic accident here in Palm Beach County.  It is especially unsettling to see victims hurt this bad.  We hope that everyone involved makes a speedy recovery and their injures are not permanent.   Please be careful whenever you are driving a motorcycle, car, SUV or truck.  If you have been injured in an accident, call my office for a free consultation to find out what are your rights”.
