Two people riding in a black sedan were hospitalized after an auto crash with another car in Deerfield Beach.
The two-car crash happened at the intersection of Northeast 21st Avenue and Northeast 2nd Street, said Michael Kane, a battalion chief with Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue. The Sedan was traveling on Northeast 2nd street when it was T-boned by a Camry traveling on a wrong way on Northeast Avenue.
Paramedics took the two people from the wrecked car to Broward Health North in Deerfield Beach. One patient was in serious condition with multiple injuries, Kane said.
The neighborhood is north of Deerfield Beach Cafe and the Wyndham Deerfield Beach Resort, near Florida State Road A1A and North Ocean Drive. The Broward Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
NE 21st Avenue and NE 2nd Street are blocked due to the severity of the crash, causing traffic delays. Vehicles on this route are pulling to the roadside to allow crews work. The delay of traffic on this route is due to the severity of the crash. It is best to use alternative routes. Please drive with caution and stay safe.
