Semi Truck Accident On Beeline Highway Leaves One Injured In West Palm Beach
An early morning accident involving a tractor-trailer and at least one other vehicle has left a person critically injured, according to WPTV.
The accident also closed one southbound lane of Beeline Highway before the intersection with Indiantown Road. The wreck happened just before 4:30 a.m.
The crash, described as ‘very serious’ happened at the intersection of Indiantown Road and Beeline Hwy. in northern Palm Beach County, officials said.
The driver of the other vehicle suffered serious injuries while the tractor-trailer driver escaped unhurt. A female passenger who sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene of the crash was released to go home.
Describing the crash, a witness said, ‘I heard a loud bang when the crash happened. A man in the car was thrown out from the vehicle. The scene was very upsetting. Everyone abandoned their cars and people flocked from everywhere to see what happened.’
Emergency services arrived shortly after the accident happened. WPTV states that trauma hawk was called to the scene. Palm Beach County firefighters also responded to the crash. It was reported that all first responders at the scene were doing their best to help the victims.
