2 Men Hospitalized After Limo Accident In Port St. Lucie

Two people were taken to a hospital following a 2-vehicle accident at South U.S. 1 and Brazilian Circle.

The wreck, involving a limousine and a sport-utility vehicle, happened in the southbound lanes of U.S 1 at Brazilian Circle, the St. Lucie County Fire District said. The limo reportedly struck a traffic light pole in the collision.

First emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the accident happened. Two male victims were taken to the hospital. One of them suffered traumatic injuries and was transported to the hospital on trauma alert.

No further information is available at this time about the cause of the crash or the conditions of the victims. Additionally, the police department has not released any information regarding the victim’s identities.

Rapid responders are clearing the debris from the crash. Subsequently, the road has been temporarily closed to allow them the opportunity to complete the work. It is unknown when the road will be reopened. St. Lucie County Fire District has issued a statement advising drivers to take alternative routes.
