A man died after he was hit by a vehicle in Lake Worth, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office reported. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man investigators say was hit and killed by a vehicle in Lake Worth accident as Pascual Guzman-Perez.
The accident happened when a Lake Worth man was stopped by traffic lights in the northbound lanes of North Dixie Highway at the intersection of 10th Avenue, according to the sheriff’s office. When the light turned green, he drove forward and the front passenger side of his vehicle hit Pascual Guzman-Perez.
Investigators said Guzman-Perez was crossing from east to west across Dixie Highway at the time of the incident. This violated Tanner’s right of way because he had the green light according to investigators.
First emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the accident. Guzman-Perez was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach where he died. His age is unknown.
No further information has been released about the motor vehicle accident, PBCSO said. Investigation is ongoing.
