Girl, 14, Critically Injured After Being hit by a car in Lake Worth
A 14-year-old girl was seriously injured after getting hit by a car in Lake Worth.
The crash happened near the intersection of Lake Worth Road and Lyons Road.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said the girl, 14, ran into the road to catch up with her sister when a car hit her. The first emergency responders arrived shortly after the crash happened and found the girl sprawled in the middle of the road. The driver who hit the girl stopped at the scene.
A medical helicopter took her to St. Mary’s Medical Center where she is being treated. Her current condition is unknown at the time of filing this report. However, a Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office report had listed her injuries as traumatic.
