A woman is brain-dead and on life support at Delray Medical Center after she was struck by a vehicle in Boynton Beach. The crash took place on Indian Spring Drive, near Forest Grove in Boynton Beach.
A 2017 Honda Accord traveling northbound struck the woman while she was by the roadside. The driver remained at the scene and called 911.
First emergency responders arrived at the site of the crash soon after the accident happened and the victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries for treatment. However, the victim was confirmed brain-dead on arrival to the hospital following the fierce crash. She has been placed on life support.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office needs the public’s help in identifying the woman. She is described as being between 20 and 30 years old with blonde hair and hazel eyes. She is around 5 feet 4 inches and was wearing a baseball cap, gray sweatpants, a black T-shirt and bright pink Nike sneakers at the time of the incident, according to PBSO.
The woman does not appear homeless, according to PBSO. Investigators were unable to locate any missing person at the time of the crash that fits the woman’s description.
