4 Hospitalized After ATV Crashes In Delray Beach
An All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) crashed into a car in downtown Delray Beach injuring those inside the vehicle, according to city police.
Police Spokeswoman Dani Moschella said the driver appeared to lose control of the ATV and hit another vehicle and then a tree near Atlantic Avenue. Two Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Deputies and a Delray Beach Police Officer, who were all off-duty at the time, rushed to the scene and attempted CPR on the driver. The ATV driver and a passenger were transported to a nearby hospital in critical conditions. Their conditions are unknown.
The other two victims who were transported to the Trauma Center by an ambulance are a toddler and an adult who suffered a whiplash injury. Both are also in critical condition.
“Two adults and a child were injured in the other vehicle. They were transported to the hospital with critical injuries,” Police Spokeswoman Dani Moschella said.
At this time, it’s unclear what led to the crash. Police remain at the scene investigating the cause of the crash.
