Tractor-Trailer Jackknifes on Florida’s Turnpike near Indiantown Road in Jupiter
A multi-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer on Florida’s Turnpike near Indiantown Road in Jupiter left people injured and caused traffic delays, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue crew said.
The accident happened after a tractor-trailer collided with two other vehicles near the Indiantown Road exit of Florida’s Turnpike. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said crews responded to the wreck and the leak was stopped.
According to Capt. Albert Borroto, firefighters reported a multi-vehicle crash with a tractor-trailer that had rolled over into the ditch and leaking fuel. There were people injured in the crash but the exact number of victims or the extent of their injuries could not be ascertained at the time of this report.
First emergency responders transported the injured victims to the hospital shortly after the crash.
The jackknifed tractor-trailer caused traffic delays northbound on Florida’s Turnpike near the Indiantown Road exit in Jupiter. One lane was blocked for about two hours, but all lanes were back open after a few hours.
The off-ramp of Indiantown Road was closed for about two hours, Borroto said about this crash. Crews from both Palm Beach County Fire Rescue and Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue responded to the incident.
