Erika Edwards, 28, was injured after he was hit by a young lady in a road-rage incident on an I-95 off-ramp, the Florida Highway Patrol says.
The incident happened on the exit ramp to Gateway Boulevard. The condition of Erika Edwards or the extent of his injuries is unknown at the time of this report.
Troopers initially thought this was a case of road rage between strangers, but have since identified the driver as Edward’s partner. A dispute between 28-year-old Erika Edwards and his partner led to road rage, the Florida Highway Patrol said. Edwards’ partner hit him with the car and attempted to mow down her partner on an I-95 off-ramp. It’s unclear what the couple was fighting about.
The road-rage crash scene has shutdown exit ramps overpass on I-95. Troopers are on the scene investigating the road-rage incident.
CBS12 News learned that officers arrested Edwards recently in Lantana. Court records state Edwards headbutted and stabbed his partner, who is 30 weeks pregnant, in front of two kids. Troopers have not confirmed whether the said partner is the same woman involved in the road-rage case.
