Two People Killed In Linton Boulevard In Rollover Accident
Two people died in a rollover accident on southbound I-95 south of Linton Boulevard. The rollover accident closed some lanes and caused traffic backups.
A teenage driver traveling in a 2006 Cadillac was killed when a speeding car fled police, ran a stop sign, and rammed the car he was driving on southbound I-95 south of Linton Boulevard. The four men in the 2011 Toyota Camry that hit the 2006 Cadillac suffered traumatic injuries.
Describing the crash, a witness said, ‘I heard a loud bang when the crash happened. Four men in a car were all thrown from their vehicle. The scene was very upsetting. Everyone abandoned their cars and people flocked from everywhere to see what happened.’
Emergency services arrived minutes after. First emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the crash. The four injured men were transported to a regional medical center with traumatic injuries. One of the men died shortly after he arrived at the hospital. The others are in critical conditions.
Palm Beach County firefighters also responded to the crash. All first responders at the scene are doing their best to help the victims.
‘This is an extremely complex and distressing crash scene that requires multi-agency teamwork. We are working with partner agencies to establish the cause of this collision,’ FHP spokeswoman said.
Initial investigations indicated that one of the drivers was driving under influence of alcohol. Further investigations are ongoing. Troopers are yet to disclose the identities of the victims involved in the crash.
Drivers on this route should expect some delays until the crash is cleared. It is best to use alternative routes.
