Joshua Labbe and Courtney Jean Dzikowski were injured and hospitalized after a motorcycle crash on the northbound lanes of the Florida Turnpike.
The victims were identified by authorities as Joshua Labbe, 27, of Griswold, Conn., and Courtney Jean Dzikowski, 26, of Spring Hill. Joshua Labbe and his passenger, Courtney Jean Dzikowski suffered serious injuries in the crash which involved a pickup truck. Neither rider had a helmet, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened at mile marker 114, which is just south of Indiantown Road. Investigators reported that a motorcycle carrying two people crashed on the northbound lanes of the Florida Turnpike near Indiantown Road after it changed lanes and hit a pickup truck. The motorcycle went down following the collision.
First emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the crash. Both victims have been transported to the hospital. Joshua Labbe, 27, of Griswold, Conn., is hospitalized in serious condition at St. Mary’s Medical Center. His passenger, Courtney Jean Dzikowski, 26, of Spring Hill, is in critical condition at St. Mary’s. Neither rider had a helmet, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
