One person was transported to the hospital after a crash that shut down a southbound lane of 66th Avenue at 49th Street, Indian River County Fire Rescue says.
The crash which closed 66th Avenue in Indian River County was between a work van and a truck. First emergency responders arrived shortly after the accident happened. One person was transported to a local trauma center with serious injuries, according to Indian River County Fire Rescue officials.
Information on how the crash occurred was not immediately available.
Deputies at the scene would not give any information about the crash, and as the time of filing this report, no further information was available from Indian River County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Maj. Eric Flowers.
