A road rage incident in Boynton Beach that left one person injured and has shut down two exit ramps on I-95, Florida Highway Patrol reported.
The road rage incident happened on the southbound lane of the I-95 near the exit ramp to Gateway Blvd. after a vehicle struck a middle-aged woman outside of their car. The victim was critically injured.
First emergency responders arrived at the scene of the road rage incident shortly after it happened and transported the victim to Delray Medical Center with serious injuries.
A crash report issued by the FHP stated that “Florida Highway Patrol responded to a crash on I-95 SB near the exit ramp to Gateway Blvd. They say their preliminary investigation indicates a vehicle struck a person outside of their car. The victim is at Delray Medical Center in serious condition.”
According to FHP, the driver waited at the scene, and officers are looking into the case.The motive behind the road rage incident is unknown at the time of filing this report. Both northbound and southbound ramps for the Gateway exit of I-95 are currently closed to traffic. Florida Highway Patrol and other rescue crews are at the scene investigating the incident.
The investigation into the incident continues.
