Delivery Van Involved In Deadly Crash Along Indian Town Road

One person was killed and another injured in a fatal crash involving a delivery van along Indian Town Road.

A spokesman for the Jupiter Police said two delivery personnel sustained serious injuries in an overturned vehicle crash involving a Ford truck.  The accident occurred at Indiantown Road near Military Trail in Jupiter.

According to an eyewitness the crash occurred when the delivery van, which was on a delivery run, was T-boned by a Ford truck trying to cross an intersection.

The driver of the truck hit the delivery van at the passenger side and sent it tumbling over.

The driver of the truck was said to have sustained minor injuries while the delivery crew were not so lucky. The driver of the delivery van died before help arrived, while his passenger was left in a critical condition with life threatening injuries.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue were on the scene to evacuate the crash victims from the tumbled vehicle which took a few hours.

The road was closed for about four hours by the Jupiter Police. Investigations are still ongoing into the cause of the accident.

Drivers are advised to be careful around intersections to avoid devastating occurrences.
