Four Hospitalized After Fatal Accident On PGA Boulevard

One person is in critical condition and three others sustained minor injuries after a crash along PGA Boulevard, close to Florida Turnpike Toll Road.

The accident, which took place at night on PGA Boulevard, involved a collision between a black Honda Accord and a red Toyota Prius.

According to police reports, the driver of the Toyota Prius was said to have left his car to change a flat tire on the shoulder of the road when he was rammed by the black Honda who was eastbound on PGA Boulevard.

Paramedics were on the scene and the driver of the Toyota Prius was taken to Jupiter Medical Center in critical condition due to the serious nature of his injuries sustained in the crash. He later passed away at the hospital.  The driver of the Honda along with two passengers sustained minor injuries. They were taken to Jupiter Medical Center for treatment.

Two lanes on the PGA Boulevard were closed as officers of the Florida Highway Patrol carried out investigations into the crash. Emergency First Responders were on the scene to clear the debris.

Drivers are advised to be careful when changing tires on busy carriage ways.
