Car Dives Into Canal In Freak Accident In West Palm Beach
A car was found at the bottom of a canal in an unusual freak accident in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Emergency services were on scene in suburban West Palm Beach as a vehicle was reportedly found in a canal near Chukker Drive and Summit Boulevard.
The car was said to have damaged power utility equipment close to the paved road and the vehicle also hit the street lights along the road before it ended up in the canal.
Police could not confirm as at the time of this report what led to the crash. Eyewitnesses described this as a freak accident. The two occupants of the vehicle were evacuated before emergency services arrived.
One of the passengers was badly injured in the crash and was taken to the hospital for treatment, while the other occupant of the car was treated for minor injuries on the scene.
Emergency services were hard at work trying to pull the vehicle out of the carnal. The spokesperson for the Florida Highway Patrol said they are still conducting investigations to figure out what led to the crash.
