Highway 441 Shuts Down After Crash In Okeechobee County
A section of Highway 441 has been shut down due to a crash in Okeechobee County in Florida.
A major section of the highway has been closed temporarily after a fatal crash along highway 44,. according to the Sheriff’s office.
The crash happened around midday and involved a car and two trucks. It is yet unclear if the vehicles were proceeding from the northbound or southbound lanes, but the debris suggests there might be some casualties.
Emergency Services were attending to the injured victims and clearing the wreckage which has put the very busy stretch of highway on standstill.
Officers of the Florida Highway Patrol were also on scene as all hands were on deck to clear the wreckage and get traffic flowing again.
Drivers are advised to take alternative routes.
