3 Injured After A Crash On US Route I-95 In Boca Raton

Three people were badly injured in a crash when the driver was in the wrong lane driving against traffic I-95 in Boca Raton.

Police are investigating the crash along US Route I-95 after a driver, who was going the wrong way against traffic, in a Jeep Cherokee SUV collided with an oncoming vehicle in Boca Raton.

The driver of the Cherokee SUV was said to be driving southbound on the northbound lane of US Route I-95 when he crashed head on into a blue Honda Accord which was approaching on the northbound lane of the highway.

The Honda Accord lost control as a result of the impact and crashed into a street light on the left shoulder of the road. The driver of the Honda sustained critical injuries and had to be rushed to the hospital. One passenger in the Honda was also hospitalized for injuries sustained in the crash.

The driver of the Cherokee SUV sustained minor injuries and was treated on the scene.

A spokesperson for the Arizona Department of Public Safety said investigations are underway to determine the cause ot the crash.

Emergency First Responders were also on the scene to clear the debris and attend to the injured casualties.
