A car crash along South Congress Avenue sent two juveniles to the hospital with serious injuries in Lake Worth.
Two Juveniles were seriously injured after their car was T-Boned at the intersection of South Congress Avenue and 10th Avenue, north of Congress Marathon gas station. An eyewitness said the debris from the accident occupied a major segment of the intersection on south Congress Avenue.
According to police reports, the accident happened when the 41 year old driver of a Dodge truck ,who was approaching an intersection from the northbound lane of South Congress Avenue, failed to slow down at a stop sign.
The truck rammed into a silver Honda CRV which was approaching from the eastbound lane of 10th Avenue. The impact caused the Honda CRV to overturn a few times before it came to rest at the northeast segment of the intersection.
Two young teenagers in the Honda CRV sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the hospital for treatment. The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries in the crash and is being investigated for reckless endangerment.
Emergency first responders were on scene to attend to the injured casualties and clear the wreckage.
