A truck toppled over in a two vehicle crash along US Highway-1 in Jupiter.
According to reports gathered from the Florida Highway Patrol, A Toyota truck was on the northbound lane of US Highway-1 when it suddenly veered towards the left, colliding with a brown Nissan Venza before crashing into the centre divider. It is believed that the driver suffered a heart attack causing her to lose control of the vehicle.
The impact of the crash sent the truck toppling over on its side. According to Police reports, the female driver of the truck suffered a heart attack while driving causing her to lose control of her vehicle. She was found unconscious and hanging by her seat belt when bystanders approached the vehicle to help.
An eyewitness said they performed CPR on her and she regained consciousness before emergency services arrived. She also sustained head injuries in the crash and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The Nissan Venza was slightly damaged in the crash. The driver of the Venza was being attended to by paramedics on the scene. He sustained minor injuries in the crash. “It was like a horror movie”, he said. “I was maintaining my lane when I noticed this truck drifting towards me, it all happened so fast” he commented further.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the truck driver, but sources say she is in a stable condition at the hospital.
