7 Year Old Seriously Injured In Crash on Bee Line Hwy

A 7 year old girl sustained serious injuries in car crash on Bee Line Highway in Jupiter.


According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 7 year old girl was among the casualties of a crash that occurred along Bee Line Highway.

A Dodge minivan was totaled after it lost control on the southbound lane of Bee Line Highway and crossed into path of a tractor trailer truck in the neighboring lane. The tractor trailer crashed into the Dodge minivan and pushed the wrecked car a couple of feet before losing momentum and coming to a stop.

All the occupants of the Dodge minivan were injured after the crash. According to eyewitnesses, the driver of the truck who was not hurt in the crash as he left his vehicle to render assistance to the injured victims.

A 7 year old girl was the first to be pulled out of the wrecked vehicle. She sustained serious injuries including severe head trauma. Her sister, a 12 year old girl, was also injured in the crash. Paramedics were able to stabilize both girls before rushing them to the hospital.

The driver of the minivan, a 40 year old mother of two, was also taken to the hospital for serious injuries.

Police are investigating what caused the vehicle to lose control in the middle of a busy road. No further information is available at this time.
