Seven Year Old Twin Sisters Sustain Serious Injuries In Car Crash
Two 7 year old girls who are twin sisters were involved in a car crash along Indiantown Road in Jupiter.
According to police reports, a father and his twin daughters were severely injured after a car crash at a red light on Indiantown Road. The trio were in a blue Honda Accord waiting at a red light when a black Ford Edge smashed into their car from behind.
The impact of the crash propelled the Honda Accord forward and into a utility pole. The Ford Edge continued in its trajectory, crossing into the opposite lane where it collided with a white Mercedes Benz.
The driver of the Honda Accord suffered multiple injuries and was rushed to the hospital. His twin daughters were also hospitalized for severe injuries. A front seat passenger in the Mercedes Benz sustained minor injuries but the driver was severely injured in the crash. He was taken to a nearby hospital.
The driver of the Ford Edge sustained some lacerations on his right arm and fractures in his lower limbs. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment. According to Police reports, it is believed that the driver was a bit disorientated when paramedics attended to him on the scene, although it is not clear it was as a result of head injuries or intoxication.
Police are still conducting an investigation into the cause of the crash.
