Three People Injured In Car Crash On North Military Trail
Three people were hospitalized after a single vehicle crash on North Military Trail in Palm Beach Gardens.
Emergency first responders came to the rescue after a car was found overturned on its side a couple of feet from the road. Two people, a 20 year old man and a 15 year old teenager were found in the vehicle when paramedics arrived. The third occupant of the vehicle was pinned under the car. Firemen worked to free the 23 year old trapped passenger from underneath the vehicle.
An eyewitness said she could hear the trapped victim screaming under the heavy weight of the car, “I wished I could do something to help, it was unbearable to watch”, she said.
The 20 year old man was rushed to the hospital for multiple fractures sustained from the crash. The second occupant of the car, the 15 year old teenager, was found unconscious when paramedics appeared on the scene. She taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The trapped passenger was also taken to the hospital for serious injuries.
Authorities say the vehicle veered of the southbound lane of North Military Trail and rolled over a several times before coming to rest on its side. There is no information on what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle. Police are conducting an investigation into the crash.
