A 18 year old man sustained severe neck injuries after a car crash along Royal Palm Beach Boulevard in Royal Palm Beach.
Police say two people, including an 18 year old man, were injured in a single car crash in Royal Palm Beach. The teenage driver was at the wheel of a red Ford Mustang. He was speeding in the northbound lane of Royal Palm Beach Boulevard and lost control of his vehicle.
The Mustang veered off the road and crashed into a tree, bounced off and collided with another tree.
The Ford Mustang was badly damaged as a result of the second impact. The 18 year old driver of the vehicle was injured in the crash. He sustained neck injuries among other fractures. Paramedics arrived on the scene to treat his injuries. He was later transported to an area hospital.
A passenger in the Ford Mustang, a 19 year old man, suffered minor injuries in the crash and was treated on the scene.
Police are conducting an investigation into the cause of the crash. A spokesperson for the sheriff’s office said speed is a probable factor in the deadly crash.
Drivers are advised to observe the speed limit even in the absence of a busy traffic.
