Two Vehicles Involved in Collision as Truck Dives Into Canal

Authorities located a trailer truck in a canal after a crash involving two vehicles along Lantana Road, in Lake Worth.

Subsequently, they found a truck lying on its side in a canal close to the Atlantis City limits after a fatal crash on Lantana Road. Additionally, a black car allegedly crashed against a light pole. Emergency responders arrived on the scene to attend to victims.

Meanwhile, firefighters also arrived on the scene to rescue the occupants of the truck. Although there is no information on the identities of the injured passengers at the moment, authorities said three people were in the vehicle when it crashed. One of the passengers sustained serious injuries and paramedics rushed the victim to the hospital via ambulance.

Officials called Emergency Management to the scene to help clean-up approximately 76 gallons of gasoline that spilled into the canal as a result of the crash.

The Florida Highway Patrol is handling the investigation into the crash. They will release more information as investigations proceed.
