Emergency responders found a 42-year-old woman with life-threatening injuries after she was ejected from her vehicle in a deadly crash along U.S. 441 South, Boynton Beach.
Officers of the Florida Highway Patrol arrived at the scene of an accident after a deadly crash along southbound U.S. 441 South. Officers found debris along the southbound highway, a wrecked Toyota Avensis close to the right shoulder of the road, and a 42-year-old woman lying on the asphalt in critical condition. According to the police report, the woman was ejected from her vehicle during the crash.
Little is known about what led to the crash. Police said the 42-year-old woman allegedly traveled on the southbound lane of U.S. 441 South when the crash occurred. It is not clear if a second vehicle was involved in the crash.
“I thought she was dead, I could have sworn she was dead, no one could have survived being thrown out of a vehicle like that, she is sure lucky to be alive,” said a passer-by who called the police when he saw the wrecked vehicle.
Paramedics attended to the injured woman who had multiple fractures, lacerations, and a dislocation to her lower limb. Paramedics transported her to the hospital in an ambulance. She is said to be in stable condition at the moment.
Authorities ruled out alcohol as a factor in the crash after they received the test results. Police are conducting investigations to determine the cause of the crash.
