An accident involving a semi-truck has shut down all the northbound lanes on the Turnpike before Beeline Highway, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened after a vehicle ran into the semi-truck, leaving one person critically injured. The FHP says the semi was an 18-wheeler car carrier and it was jack-knifed.
First emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the crash. The injured victim was taken to a local hospital, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said. His current condition could not be ascertained at the time of this report. The northbound lanes remain closed as tow trucks finish picking up while Florida Highway Patrol team are continuing to investigate the crash.
