An auto crash in Palm Beach Gardens involving twin sisters and three others resulted in critical injuries and has left the victims hospitalized. According to WPTV report, DUI charges appeared to be pending in connection with the Palm Beach Gardens car crash.
According to Palm Beach Gardens Police Department, an 18-year-old Palm Beach Gardens teen was behind the wheel of a Sport Utility Vehicle, traveling west on Northlake Boulevard along with her twin sister, when she attempted to make a U-turn west of Military Trail. Upon doing so, an eastbound Ford Expedition slammed into the SUV’s passenger side. One passenger in the Ford, whom authorities are yet to identify, suffered a head injury.
The violent crash, which occurred near Montecito, sent the victims to St. Mary’s Hospital with injuries. The 40-year-old Ford driver, as well as her passenger, were also rushed to St. Mary’s for treatment. Following the South Florida collision, both occupants of the SUV were listed in good and fair condition.
Police suspected one of the drivers may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the Palm Beach County accident. Charges are pending and investigations into the car wreck are ongoing.
