Child Involved in Boynton Crash Hospitalized
A three-car accident on Hypoluxo Road across from Freedom Shores Elementary School sent a child to the trauma center and seven others to the hospital, Boynton Beach police said.
The accident happened at the intersection of Hypoluxo Road and Venetian Drive. It resulted in a shutdown of all westbound lanes of Hypoluxo Road west of Congress Avenue. Police said the lanes have since been reopened. The child was taken to the trauma center at Delray Medical Center. The other seven people were transported to JFK Medical Center, Boynton Beach police said.
Investigations are ongoing to unravel the cause of the crash. A Boynton Beach police spokeswoman encourages anyone who witnessed the accident to contact Traffic Homicide Investigator Chris Munro at 561-732-8116.
