Two men were hospitalized after a crash at the intersection of Haverhill Road and Lakeside Green Blvd in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue reports.
The crash happened along Cypress Blvd. Firefighters arrived on scene to find injured persons and vehicles with heavy damage, said Capt. Albert Borroto, spokesman for Fire Rescue.
A truck pulling a disabled car was traveling on Lakeside Green Blvd and heading towards Cypress Blvd when it crashed into a utility vehicle near the intersection of Haverhill Road, according to fire officials. It is unclear what led to the crash but officials have confirmed that speed and alcohol were not contributive factors to the crash. However, witnesses said that one of the vehicles had run a traffic light leading to the crash.
According to Fire rescue spokesman Capt. Albert Borroto, the authorities received a distress call informing them of the crash. First emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the crash happened. Both victims were seriously injured and transported to the hospital on trauma alert.
Palm Beach County Police Department is investigating the crash.
