A two-vehicle crash following a police chase in West Palm Beach has sent four people to the hospital with serious injuries, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office report.
Witnesses at the scene reported that a sports utility vehicle was coming out of a gas station when it crashed into another vehicle.
The driver of the other vehicle was speeding in an attempt to escape a police chase. Unfortunately, he ended up crashing into a vehicle near a gas station. A witness described the crash as serious and unfortunate.
First emergency responders arrived at the scene of the crash soon after the accident happened and the victims were transported to the hospital. There were four people in the SUV. Two were taken to the hospital. There were two passengers in the other car, both suffered minor injuries.
Two men were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, the Sheriff’s office said. A woman and a man in the other car suffered injuries and were also taken to the same hospital, according to authorities. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
The road is closed due to the severity of the crash, causing traffic delays. Vehicles on this route are pulling to the roadside to allow crews work. Some are pulling into the parking lot of Walgreens Pharmacy nearby. It is best to use an alternative route.
