According to the mother of one of the girls, the victim is a graduate of West Boca Raton High who is aspiring to be an aeronautics engineer and had just finished her freshman year at the University of Central Florida. “She’s amazing,” Her mom sobbed. “She will be written in the history journals and books someday.”  The parent of the other victim said he did not want to make any comment or give any information about his daughter.

Prior to the incident, one of the girls was driving her friend to her workplace at the Ben and Jerry’s ice cream parlor located at East Atlantic Avenue. A shop owner had said that the teen had worked for him for almost two years and continues to work during school breaks.
