A 37-year old motorcyclist of Boynton Beach has been found dead in a crash, according to a Boynton Beach Police spokeswoman.
The crash happened when a man was driving his Toyota Corolla east on Boynton Beach Boulevard and steered left onto Northwest 2nd Street, said the police. The driver did not see the motorcyclist traveling on his Honda motorcycle and the vehicles collided. The crash caused him to get ejected from the bike and sustain fatal injuries in spite of having a helmet on, the spokeswoman reported.
According to the spokeswoman, police also believe that a tan or gold Honda Accord was also involved in the crash but the driver had fled the scene. Anyone having information about this crash is encouraged to call the Traffic Homicide Investigator.
The motorcyclist who was involved in the crash had been declared dead at the scene, according to the Boynton Beach police.
Westbound Boynton Beach Boulevard had remained shut down from about NW 2nd Street to North Seacrest Boulevard, according to the police. All traffic lanes are open now, police said.
